News about Gold Find In Iraq
I found this Article about a Gold Discovery in Baghdad
The recent discovery in Baghdad of what may be one of the world’s largest gold deposits could make Iraq a bigger producer of precious metal than oil, and help it pay its outstanding debt to Western countries stemming from the two Gulf Wars.
What’s more, the gold vein found in an eastern Baghdad neighborhood is expected to increase the area’s real estate prices with the influx of hundreds, if not thousands, of gold seekers, according to a report by currencynewshound.com.
As Iraq — with one of the world’s largest untapped oil deposits—continues to increase its oil production output for export, the discovery of large quantities of gold changes the economic landscape for the Middle Eastern country, noted James Méndez, president of Méndez Internet Management Services, an authorized money service business and Iraqi currency broker based in Puerto Rico.
“This means that in addition to large quantities of oil, Iraq will have one of the world’s largest gold deposits, which ensures the country will have plenty of money to pay its debts and to cover the cost of the upcoming revaluation of its currency, which should happen soon,” Méndez told CARRIBEAN BUISNESS online.
Mining operations continue in the upscale Aldajh area after the discovery of the existence of large quantities of gold in the soil, currencynewshound.com reported Wednesday.
For more than two years, exploration and drilling have been going on under the streets in the region, extending from Fudhaliyah to Obeidi, where low-lying water channels are used for the diversion of rainwater during flood seasons.
The drilling operations extend for several meters deep into the earth, except for longitudinal drilling spanning more than ten kilometers (6.2 miles), the online report said.
So far the mining has raised thousands of tons of earth, which has been set aside in order to extract the gold particles, the report said.

It looks like there will be a vote on the 2012 budget this monday.Still lots of chatter on oil and gas law being passed by end of February.Everyone seems to getting along and working together to move Iraq forward.We have the Arab Summit coming up in the city of Baghdad end of March this year.We have the kuiwait election over ,Maliki should be making a trip there regarding chapter 7 sanctions being lifted.Also the kuiwaits have reopened their embassy in Baghdad after a 7 month absence.

Update on the Iraqi Dinar for Canadians,No RV Yet
Good Morning,
This week we had some of the Dinar Gurus announce an Iraqi Dinar Rv.It did not happen,I repeat it did not happen.I will post on my Blog here when it does happen.Just remember this is not a for sure investment,there is a possibility this will not happen.In my opinion there are only 2 guarantees in life,death and taxes.
If you scroll down to the bottom of those websites it says for entertainment purposes only.So that tells you most of the Gurus on there are just that Entertainment

Iraq is not completely out of chapter 7 yet but talks with Kuwait are promising.

Welcome To 2012,Still No RV ON the Iraqi Dinar For Canadians But Still Positive Outlook
Happy NewYear Everyone.Lets hope 2012 is our year for the RV of The Iraqi Dinar.
The American Forces have moved out and their has been a little strife between the 3 Groups of people,Shites,Sunni and Kurds in their minority Govt but that was expected.It probably would have been better if they RVed before the Troops left but that didn't happen.Everything is still positive and moving forward and that is good news.Everyone needs to be patient and let this play out .
I have had a few questions regarding cashing out in the States.Just remember you will be dealing with 2 governments (US ,Can).It could be a little tricky especially if you bought the Dinars in the States.I would make sure you have an LLC set up and a international tax consultant available if you are dealing with a lot of money.(This is my Opinion only).I don't want to scare any one.
Regarding cashing out at Canadian Banks . All or most of the banks will be dealing with the Iraqi Dinar once it RVs and becomes an International Traded Currency.Right now it is an Exotic Currencey and only used in Iraq..Please don"t Pester The banks for Information,they either don't know or can't tell you until The RV happens(insider Trading Laws.I'll be dealing with Scotia Bank once it RVs to get the best rate possible.I can't do it now due to lack of information regarding Rate And Date,Spread etec.You are welcome to join me at Scotia or do your own thing.I'll have a code to send out to everyone interested once it RVs.

Whats Happening This Week Regarding the Iraqi Dinar For Canadians?

On The !5th we have The UN Discussing the Iraqi/Kuwait Border issues which is Part of Chapter 7 Sanctions
We have US Army Progressing with their Departure from Iraq.
We have been hearing about a lot of Oil Contracts happening Exon/ Mobile,Shell(HCL)
Things are happening,I hope this Roller Coaster Will Be Over Real.Soon.
Just Remember there is no 100% Guaranttee an RV will ever happen.Only invest what you can afford to lose.

Most accountants have little to no experience with currency traders, so you will need this Information which I recieved from Revenue Canada, and not a web site or another persons Interpetation. This is REVENUE CANADA talking, a real person.
Under Canadian tax laws we are subject to taxes under Regulation P4037, Section 17, paragraph 12-15. This directly relates to currency traders and tax Implications.
In basic English, its as follows: (Example only) You take your 1 million from selling your Dinars, divide by two. No tax on first $500,000 or 50%. From the second $500,000 Minus your Investment money, say $1000.00. then minus $200.00. The remainder you pay tax on based on your yearly tax rate.
